What is "Go Digital"?

"Go Digital" is our digital rights management platform for publishers and copyright owners. You can manage license requests from us online from your account at EasySong.com. Best of all, it's totally free. Ditch the paper today!

Total amount owed Always know how much we owe you and when you will be paid.
Why go digital?

If you manage copyrighted materials, you know how the paper can pile up. Managing that paper can be a mess. We created this platform to eliminate the mess, and make rights management easier than ever.

What are the specific benefits for publishers?

You get unlimited access to all of the licensing information you receive from us (Notice of Intention, Statement of Account, Royalty Payment), online, for free. View requests live, as they come in. Search by date, title, composer, song ID and more. Easily print one request or many. Export custom reports to Microsoft Excel. Share access with colleagues or business partners.

How do licensees benefit?

We deliver the Notice of Intention to you instantly online. Licensees benefit from faster delivery of their Proof of Licensing. What took a few days with the United States Postal Service now happens instantly online.

Do I need to provide proof that I represent the catalog I am requesting access to?

Yes. As part of the verification process, after you sign up, we might call or email you, and depending on the size of the catalog requested, we might ask for your W-9, or an email or letter on your company letterhead indicating you are an authorized manager of the catalog in question.

How do I sign up?

Complete the Go Digital Form you receive from us (accompanies Statements of Account and royalty payments) and follow the instructions to return it to us. Once we receive your completed form, we will complete a verification process and give you access. Watch for an email from us with an invitation and a link to access your info online.

What happens after I sign up?

A few business days after you return the completed Go Digital form, we will email you a link to access your info. Click the link in that email to continue. When you do, you'll be asked to sign in to your EasySong.com account. New users will have to create an account.

Okay I'm all signed up. How do I access my information?

After you receive your invitation from us, sign in at EasySong.com. You will see Your Publishers page, a list of publishers you have access to, with links to View Info, View Permissions, View Royalties, and more. To return to Your Publishers, click your profile pic at the top right, and then click Publishers.

How do I search for requests?

From Your Publishers, click View Royalties to open the Royalty tracker. The panel on the left allows you to search paid and unpaid requests, by date, using a variety of search criteria (song title, composer, arranger, your publisher ID, PRO work IDs, and more). Click Reset Search to clear the search criteria. If you don't see any results, try swapping the Paid and Unpaid option, or broadening your search.

How do I get the total owed to me for a given period?

Get the total royalties owed to you for any search, by clicking "get total owed" on the yellow Action Panel at the top right of the Royalty Tracker.

How are ownership splits handled?

We split royalty payments according to percentages of ownership. If you own 50% of a song, your payment will reflect that amount.

Song ownership information or percentages are not correct. How do you fix this?

For individual songs, you can contact us and we will make the correction (provided adequate proof of ownership and accuracy of the split). We also encourage you to send us your catalog. You can email this to us in a spreadsheet and we will import it into our database.

I received a Notice of Intention or Statement of Account from Easy Song. What do I need to do?

If you are new to Easy Song, this could take you by surprise. We follow the Compulsory Mechanical Licensing Law to help our clients obtain licenses for cover songs. Part of this law involves reporting to the copyright holder and sending payment. Because the law is compulsory, there's no action required on your part. If you receive a notice from us, it simply means we will follow up the month following the release date with a statement and royalty payment. You don't have to do anything.

Can I still get paper or emailed notices?

We will do our best to meet your individual needs. If you have special requests, please let us know. If you try the new digital platform and discover paper and email isn't really necessary, you can let us know too.
