| How much will I pay for licenses?

distribute.
Our prices include
the royalty payment (Statutory Rate) plus a fee for our services.
We match our competitors' prices. If you find a lower
advertised price on the web for the specific song you need we will refund the difference plus 20%.
The Statutory Rate
The royalty payment that goes to the copyright holder is called
the Statutory Rate. We include this royalty in our
prices. The rate is determined by the federal government.
As of January 1, 2006 the statutory mechanical rate is as follows:

9.10 Cents for songs 5 minutes or less |
| |
or |
| |
1.75 Cents per minute or fraction thereof over 5 minutes. |
| |
| |
For
example:
5:01 to 6:00 = $.105 (6 x $.0175 = $.105)
6:01 to 7:00 = $.1225 (7 x $.0175 = $.1225)
7:01 to 8:00 = $.14 (8 x $.0175 = $.14)

Our Fee
We charge the statutory rate plus a fee for our services. The
entire statutory amount goes to the copyright holder. The fee
pays us. Our fee is $29.
Extra Minutes
Our prices cover songs under five minutes in length. Songs over five
minutes cost an additional $1.00-21.00 depending on how many units
are distributed.
Best price on the web guaranteed.
We match our competitors' prices. If you find a lower
advertised price on the web for the specific song you need we will refund the difference plus 20%.
How much you pay for licensing depends upon the following:
1) How many units you produce (ex: # of CDs pressed).
This determines how much you pay to
license one song.
2) How many songs you will license (# of copyrighted songs on
your CD).
This determines how much you pay
to license your total project.
3) The length of your songs in minutes and seconds.
The statutory rates are higher for longer
songs.
